It is clear that I support all efforts of the Queensland Ministry of the Environment, the Daintree Rainforest Land Trust, and other conservation groups to protect the 120 million year old Daintree – the world's oldest tropical rainforest – from urbanization. Furthermore, I encourage any plan that allows more time for buyback of the rainforest to continue.
